Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Catherine Le attended the University of Waterloo School of Optometry (OD) where she was awarded the Steve de Pinto Award and graduated with Dean’s Honours. She is also a proud alumna of the University of Toronto where she earned her HBSc with High Distinction with a 3.99 GPA, and was the recipient of the Simeon Heman Janes Silver Medal, Human Biology Excellence Award, Linda Mamelak Undergraduate Award and Dr Lorus J Milne and Dr Margery J Milne Research Award.
She is accredited by the Optometry Examining Board of Canada and certified to prescribe Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPAs) in Canada. She is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. Most of all, she is thrilled to join the clinic and serve the community she grew up in!
Dr. Le strives to provide the highest level of care, and is experienced in all aspects of full scope optometry from her time in clinics serving the downtown Toronto and Brampton communities. She possesses expertise in the treatment of ocular disease and pre/post-operative ocular surgical care from her time working alongside a retinal specialist in Newmarket. She brings valuable experience in specialty contact lens, low vision, paediatric and binocular vision clinics at the Waterloo Eye Institute. She also had the honour of volunteering with a First Nations remote optometric clinic to provide eye care to underserved Indigenous communities in rural northern Saskatchewan.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Le enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, travelling and a good hike!
